If possible, we prefer not to give a general price for large projects as each one is likely to have its own unique properties. We prefer to discuss with you your specific requirements and price accordingly. We are very willing to negotiate the best rate possible for large and/or on going projects. For the occasional file, we usually charge competitively per audio minute. It is important that we work WITH clients and not just FOR clients; this is why we prefer to discuss the total package for large projects so that they will feel comfortable knowing we are doing our utmost to provide a complete service for them - not just a good price.

As a general rule a clear, well recorded one to one file can take around 4-6 times to accurately transcribe and proof read. Poor quality recordings, extraneous noises, strong accents and/or multiple voices may take longer. This is based on a realistic time frame to enable work to be returned as accurately as possible - faster turnarounds may be possible depending on the type of file, but we feel this is a realistic assessment on which to base your costings. 

Unfortunately, difficult files, Total Verbatim and Multi-Voice transcripts would have to be charged at a higher rate, as they are more difficult to transcribe accurately and take considerably more time than, for example, one to one interviews or Intelligent Vebatim transcripts. Our default type of transcription is Intelligent Verbatim, as this is most suitable for the majority of clients.

We offer a 10% discount to all new customers for their first transaction and offer discounts for students and registered charities.

Proof Reading

• Proof Reading of the work we transcribe is always totally free of charge and is done as a normal part of our transcription service. Should you require a person, other than the transcriber who typed the piece, to do a secondary reading, then this would be charged at an additional 50 pence per audio minute, as per the above table.

• Proof Reading of externally transcribed work. This would be charged at 50 pence per audio minute as per the above table.

Payment terms:

Invoices are issued for payment strictly 15 days from date of invoice.
